Should You Have a “Hag Do”?
The traditions which lurk behind conventional hen dos and stag dos and leave many people feeling, well, a bit uncomfortable with the whole idea of throwing or attending one. While some of us will leap on any excuse to parade around the streets in a blur of giggling and revelry, there are others amongst us who would rather opt out the the orgy of novelty inflatables and jagerbombs. The solution? A hag do.
As Danielle of the fabulous Diva Magazine explains, a hag do is half hen do, half stag do and none of the usual conventions apply. Don't exclusively invite your female friends, invite the people closest to you in the world and ignore gender entirely. If you want to wave an inflatable phallus around on your local high street – go for it. But if you'd rather see your mates wiggle amusingly through a beginner's burlesque class – it's entirely up to you! Vive la hag do, we say! Thanks Danielle.
